Let's Explore the Answer
But sometimes, those mapping systems get confused and lead us in circles, or even lead us to the wrong destination altogether! This exact circumstance paints a remarkably similar picture of people trying to figure out what they need to do in life in order to get into heaven, and how they sometimes get derailed by false information or faulty directions.
So what exactly does it take to get to heaven? Is there a direct route, or are there many different paths you can take to get there? These are all great questions! But before we search for answers through a Biblical roadmap, let’s look at what skeptics and atheists have to say.

Plan A VisitWhat Skeptics & Atheists Say
Because most skeptics and atheists deny that there’s an afterlife, they aren’t concerned with what’s needed to get to heaven. In their minds, heaven is a mystical place invented by weak people who feel the need to imagine life beyond the here-and-now.
For the skeptic who believes there might be some form of life after death, they claim that being a good person is enough to get them there. It’s their belief that a person’s merit will lead them to a heaven-like place - if that place even exists. They may also claim that there are many roads that lead to heaven and that each person must find their own individual path.
Sadly, most skeptics and atheists won’t admit when they’re curious about the claims of the Bible - claims that point the way to heaven through Jesus Christ alone. Most stick to the idea that once a person dies, they simply cease to exist. This view makes many people wonder if there’s any purpose for life on earth, and it dismisses the strong desire for people everywhere to explore the idea of a direct way to heaven.
Fortunately, all of these doubts and questions are cleared up in the solid roadmap laid out for us in the Bible. Let’s take a look there next.

Watch OnlineWhat The Bible Says
The Bible clearly says that Jesus is “the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through the Son.” (John 14:6) The path to heaven is clearly marked, without any detours, round-a-bouts, or dead-ends.
Romans 10:9 makes it even more clear by saying, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Being saved means you are delivered from both sin and death and are brought into the family of God. According to the Bible, whenever a person is saved, they are given a certified ticket to heaven.
God didn’t make the road to heaven a confusing, difficult route to follow. He laid it out in simple steps that involve people’s hearts surrendered to His Son, Jesus. And when we receive His free gift of salvation, we are set on the narrow road to heaven.
There’s no “recalculating” when it comes to Jesus. He truly is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life: your one-way ticket to heaven.
What would happen if you embraced the possibility that the God of the Bible really did create the world and really does care for you?

Meet PeoplePascal's Wager
In the seventeenth century, a famous philosopher and mathematician, Blaise Pascal, encouraged people to make a wager when it came to belief in God. If a person chose to believe in God and God did exist, that person would gain everything (eternal life). If a person chose to believe in God and God did not exist, that person would lose nothing. On the other hand, if a person chose not to believe in God and he was right, he would lose nothing. But if that person did not believe in God and he was wrong- he would lose everything (lose eternal life).
This wager can be said another way:
Based on this logic, Pascal suggested the rational person would choose to believe in God as believing offers a person everything (eternal life) while losing nothing. Wherever you are in your faith journey, would you consider taking Pascal’s wager? If the good God of the Bible exists, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by believing in Him today.
